MEDICAL BULLSHIT……
Wanted to blog about this for a long time but somehow…….there were other distracting things (‘bout men) to post rather than this crap !!!!
Everyday when I sip my morning tea……I read the *Times of India*….and it carries another paper called *Mumbai Mirror*……
Now this *Mumbai Mirror*….has a column by a so-called *sexologist*…..whose name I will refrain from using……….not that I am afraid of any litigation…..but I think as a fellow doctor……it is against medical ethics to criticize someone (ahem, ahem) openly……
Now this so-called *sexologist*…..gives advice to a lot of different kind of queries and most of it is crap……..it is very opinionated……and often not even medically correct……just pure 100 % CRAP…….
I do agree that some of the bits and pieces that he says are alright…….but the way he put them forth are rubbish……he advices people from some oh-so-holy crap to doing-it-this-way-only……it looks like he does not have any proper medical knowledge of a specialist in that field……..is a general doctor…….with some old, parochial views…….that he is putting forth in one of the largest read English dailies in India…….
India is such a conservative country that people are really afraid to ask queries related to sex……and also are quite ignorant about it……….sex is a taboo to talk about…..and most of the knowledge may be from grapevine……and for some of them this is the only way to clear their doubts…….
And this so-called *sexologist* seems to be like a glorified grapevine……….
I do not specialize in the same subject…..but my general doctor-knowledge is way better than this so-called *sexologist*……….
The same newspaper (TOI)……has one more supplement….called *Bombay Times*…..that carries a column by one more psychiatrist………who has until now…..according to me…….has given the best and very sound advice on sex to the readers………
Don’t these editors see the difference between these two professionals…….why do you let someone with half-baked knowledge of sex allowed to give advice to people confused about sex …….andhon mein kana raja (in blind people……someone with squint is the king) !!!
Jaago TOI-walle…..jaago…….you guys have a larger responsibility…….and hopefully…….any journalist from you, reading this post, please take note……(someone has read to considering that a couple of posts from this blog have been published in newspapers)……..

TOI has become an advertising agency. The more masala and flashy items get preference over sober but authentic news. They only want money. Hindu is exact opposite. But I still visit TOI site lot more than Hindu!
By the way, we used to read those sexologist columns in college. It is so much fun : Preeti says "One of my nipple is half pink, is it because I use Whisper?"

have u seen those walls at the railway tracks that proudly and boldly say, "for sex and other diseases, contact Dr. *beep*"...i often wondered who all went to these quacks. BTW, do u think TOI got one of these guys for their column?

I fully agree ramo....but I have got so used to TOI.....since I have grown up reading it.......I cannot help it.....buri aadate chutete nahi......
And Ms. Fit.....no I don’t think TOI got one of those guys.....but Ms. Fit....nowadays....family physicians may be as bad as those quacks.......and also a lot of people visit these quacks regularly.....

And as far as Preeti is concerned......why the hell did she have to send a mail for her discolored nipple.....if I am responsible for it......I will treat it....after all I am a doctor !!!
